Gatherings is a tiny restaurant on the fringe of Christchurch City's four Aves. Our focus is creating an expression of where we live.

We believe in the merit of good farmers, artisans and fisherfolk as much as we believe in the simple joys of eating out. Through what we do at Gatherings we aim to celebrate all of the above.

When booking with us, you will experience a creative and ever changing menu focused on organic and seasonable vegetables, fish caught using sustainable methods of fishing and a table laden with food and wine.

We are Aotearoa's first exclusive natural wine venue, and have a cellar collection of over 75 bottles available from all over the world. (We believe the term natural to represent wine that leans towards organics with minimum intervention wine making, this can mean new wave orange wines, it can also mean venturing into the world of classic wines, done properly). We also stock a handful of craft-beers, plus some interesting spirits.

Bookings are essential, due to limited seating, although we can accommodate groups of up to 20.

Our menu changes frequently with the seasons and is updated weekly.
